1. Operator and scope

SEOJIHO SPACE respects personal information and children’s rights. Our operating principles are guided by Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable to our services and processing, the GDPR and US COPPA. This notice describes our company website, enquiries and the privacy principles for Shello Friends. Games played on Roblox are also subject to Roblox’s privacy policy. This notice does not represent certification by a regulator.

2. Information and purposes

Website hosting providers may process IP addresses, request times and URLs, browser information and related technical data to deliver and protect the website and investigate errors. When you email us, we use your email address, name, message and attachments to respond and handle your request. With parental consent, Shello Friends uses a child’s name and age to provide an age-appropriate experience. Current character audio uses prerecorded sounds. Speech-to-text (STT) is not used. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information or a child’s private contact details.

3. Retention and deletion

A child’s name and age retained with parental consent are kept for one month, then deleted. If child voice-input features are provided, our principle is to discard the voice immediately after the decision without storing it, and to separately explain the processing and obtain required parental consent before collection. Current prerecorded playback does not use STT. When on-device TTS is used, it is not sent to an external TTS provider. Enquiry information is kept as needed to handle the enquiry, and unnecessary information is deleted when that purpose ends. Where law requires retention, the information is retained for the applicable purpose and period. Our deletion principle is to remove electronic records so they are not readily recoverable and securely destroy any paper copies.

4. Children and parental consent

Processing of children’s personal information in Shello Friends is based on parental consent. Parents may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent and an end to further collection. Our principle is not to require more information than an activity reasonably needs. In Korea, consent-based processing for children under 14 requires legal guardian consent and verification. Where COPPA applies, direct parental notice and verifiable parental consent are required before collecting, using or disclosing information about children under 13, subject to limited legal exceptions. Where GDPR consent rules apply to online services offered directly to children, parental authorisation is required below the national age threshold of 13–16. Browser microphone permission does not replace parental consent.

5. Providers and international processing

We use Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery and security, and Daum Smartwork for company email. The Shello Friends web service is delivered through Vercel; opening it inside our website still connects to a separate service. Current prerecorded playback does not use an external STT provider. Before introducing features that share child information with external AI providers, we will identify the provider, information, purposes and retention, and apply the necessary notice and consent procedures. International transfers must have an applicable lawful basis and safeguards or consent, with relevant recipients, countries, data, purposes and retention disclosed. Independent processing by external service operators is also governed by their own notices.

6. Cookies and local storage

The company website stores its motion-pause preference in browser local storage. You can reset it by clearing site data. Technical processing for network delivery and security depends on the hosting provider’s features. Connected services may use separate cookies or storage; please consult their notices.

7. Your rights

You or an authorised representative may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and withdrawal of consent. Where the GDPR applies, you may also exercise objection and portability rights subject to their conditions. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing before withdrawal. We may request the minimum information needed to verify identity or authority and will handle requests within applicable legal deadlines, explaining any lawful limitations. You may complain to the competent data protection authority.

8. Security and contact

The website uses HTTPS. Our operating principles include least-privilege access, purpose limitation, retention management and secure deletion. If you believe a child’s information has been collected improperly or should be deleted, email admin@seojiho.space with the service name and request. 9. Changes
